Timelapse Movies

A time-lapse film is a special film technique in which images are captured over a long period of time and then played back at a greatly accelerated speed. Instead of capturing 25–30 frames per second as in a regular video, time-lapse photography takes place at much longer intervals (e.g., every 5 seconds, every 30 seconds, or even just once per hour). These individual frames are then played back one after the other in a video. This "compresses" time: slow movements suddenly appear fast and dynamic.
